EXPERIENCE TROUBLESHOOTING HIGH VOLTAGE (480 VOLT) INDUSTRIAL-GRADE ELECTRICAL IS REQUIRED  

 

Tiger Labor & Staffing is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician for a well-established steel treatment facility in Convent, LA. This company plays a key role in readying metal for commercial and industrial construction projects.

Job Overview:
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial equipment used at a galvanizing facility. This includes conveyors, hydraulic systems, cutting machines, and welding equipment. This position is NOT suited for those with only apartment or residential maintenance experience. Industrial mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills are required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and emergency maintenance on production machinery

  • Troubleshoot and repair overhead cranes

  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment

  • Conduct safety inspections and preventive maintenance tasks

  • Assist with facility upkeep and repairs as needed

  • Accurately document work performed and parts used

 

 

 

Job Location: Baton Rouge, LA
Temp-to-Hire | Immediate Opening
Starting Pay: $25+/hr, Based on Experience

 

 

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Prior experience as a maintenance technician in an industrial or manufacturing setting
  • Proficiency with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and have a clean background
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Ability to work independently and follow verbal and written instructions
