Warehouse / Delivery Driver – Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire
Location: Baton Rouge, LA
Starting Pay: $16.00/hour
Schedule: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Type: Temp-to-Hire
Position Overview
Tiger Labor & Staffing is recruiting a reliable, professional candidate for Service Lumber Supply — a well-established building-materials and lumber distributor in Baton Rouge. The successful applicant will split time between warehouse operations and delivery driving (including specialized driving tasks). This is a full-time opportunity with conversion potential.
Key Responsibilities

Warehouse functions: receiving, staging, loading, inventory handling.

Driving duties: Delivering building/lumber materials to job sites and customers.

Operate forklift and other warehouse equipment.

Operate a Moffett (truck-mounted forklift) preferred.

Ability to drive a manual (stick-shift) truck/trailer.

Flatbed truck experience is a plus

Work in various weather/elements (outdoors and indoors).

Adhere to safety standards and PPE requirements.

Communicate with dispatch/manager regarding loads, routes, delays.

Qualifications & Requirements

Previous warehouse experience required; solid “all-around” warehouse skills.

Forklift certification or experience preferred; Moffett experience a strong plus.

Must have ability to drive a manual (stick-shift) vehicle/truck.

A valid Class A CDL is required (or very strong driving credentials toward that).

Flatbed experience is a plus but not strictly required.

Reliable transportation to/from work, strong attendance record.

Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varied conditions.

Safety-conscious and professional attitude.
